  Went to Home of Rest for old horses at Christmas. I've never been before and i had a great time. The lights etc were great and seeing the horses was even better. Would recommend that everyone goes whatever the time of year

  Spend a couple of quid on some horse pellets. Feed loads of horses. Have a good time. What more can I say?

  After going on the horse drawn tram on Douglas prom, this is an essential visit. Great that you can buy feed to take with you. Horses and donkeys are well behaved and my young children had no problem feeding them. My only negative comment would be that there should be more hand washing facilities. Don't forget to visit the empty stables, near the entrance/ exit, which contain some interesting history of the home.
