As a regular user of hotels I found Silvercraigs very good value for money. Although quite dated it is very clean and comfortable and Stuart and his staff are extremely accommodating and willing to help. Overall great value for money and a great location.

The location was not really that important for us. We were only staying for the weekend due to a damily wedding. Although, for us, it was located perfectly. Service was as you would expect. Brilliant. Absolutely no complaints. The rooms were much spacier than we thought and our en suite was huge! There was a damp smell when we first got into the room but think this is due to carpet in the en-suite being wet, maybe from earlier guests?? But it was soon sorted with a little bit of airing. On the Saturday night, the bar next door had a live band or loud music on but that stopped at midnight. The neighbouring room were quite noisy but other than that, the short stay was good. Thanks

I found this hotel on the Visit Isle of Man website and was not disappointed. Conveniently situated on the promenade within walking distance of the Electric Railway and right opposite a bus and horse tram stop. I was greeted with a welcome drink from Sarah one of the very welcoming and accomodating members of staff. In their correspondence the owners site that the furniture is traditional - I would prefer to say antique, at least it was in my room and very lovely too! The bed, with the memory foam mattress enabled me to have the best nights sleep I have ever had in any hotel. The room was spotlessley clean and there was a great choice at breakfast - and plenty of it! As a lone traveller on this occasion, looking for a peaceful break I was not at all disappointed - all staff and of course the lovely owners while very attentive, were not at all pushy. I would stay here again.
