::Excellent location for the TT. Undergoing more upgrades under the new management during our last stay. It is a very friendly camp site, the staff are quite laid back, but often tired, it's obvious they work hard. It isn't a noisy site even during race week. A nice friendly chilled atmosphere. Beautiful setting in the Glen. Can get cold if you camp at the bottom of the site near the trees, and doesn't warm up until the sun is over the trees. Several camping areas to choose from. At peak times (TT) the showers and toilets are stretched beyond capacity, so shower in the afternoons on non-race days is my tip. Or just grow a beard and go home a bit whiffy, like a proper biker. Perfect location for spectating in and around Kirk Michael, Peel close by, and Douglas reachable via Peel by road or bus when the road is closed on race days. Plenty of hard-standing on site (paved roads) for bikes. Mitre pub in easy walking distance, Quayles stores in the village itself, and a reasonably well stocked camp site shop. There is an excellent beach just at the end of the camp site. I would happily take my family to stay here if they liked camping. There's a safe play area for kids, good walks through the nature reserve, and a the fantastic Motorcycle collection in the village. Kirk Michaeal has a good bus service

::Poor shower facilities. Dirty. Staff unhelpful during busy periods

::Great spot for a campsite, right on the shore, facilities were good but the staff were very lazy, We saw them sat each morning outside the camp shop/cafe eating and chatting. We were there for a week in September and after three days we had to ask for the showers and toilets to be cleaned, the weather was rough with the end of the Erin storm passing through so the toilets etc. got a bit grubby, also the bins were not emptied for the whole week, as we packed up to leave we had to pile our rubbish up alongside the big green bins, only then did the staff notice the bins needed emptying. Kirkmicheal is a lovely village, it has most things you would need. The campsite would benefit from a change of ownership, to someone who cared about the site and kept it clean and tidy.

::You can see Peel from this coastal walk. Lovley beach. Lots of sand. Small park for kids to play in and a cute little stream to paddle in!

::Decent camp site for the Isle of Man. Has a shop, clean toilets / shower block. Small kids play area. Can hire tents or pitch your own. Extra activities at certain times of year ranging from bouncy castles to outdoor cinema. Best check their social media streams for what's on.
